About Organization
Our story
Amrit Caregivers NGO began with a simple observation: many families in Jalandhar struggle to care for ill and elderly loved ones without training, support or resources. We started by training caregivers and visiting homes, and grew into a community of volunteers, nurses and donors.
Our mission
To provide compassionate, accessible and skilled care to patients, elders and women, and to train caregivers who can serve their own communities.
Our vision
A Punjab where every family has access to kind and affordable care at home.
Our values
- Dignity: every person deserves respect in health and in illness.
- Compassion: we listen first and care with kindness.
- Service: we work alongside communities, not above them.
- Transparency: we are open about how donations are used.
How we work
We begin by listening. Every family has different needs, so we sit with them, understand the illness and the home, and agree on practical support. Trained caregivers and volunteers visit, teach and encourage, and our team stays in touch as needs change.
Founder
